Ex-Deputy Defense Minister Ruslan Tsalikov Charged with Organizing Criminal Group

Russian authorities have detained Ruslan Tsalikov, former first deputy defense minister, according to the Russian Investigative Committee (SK RF).
Tsalikov is facing criminal charges for organizing a criminal group using his official position. He is also accused of 12 counts of embezzlement, two counts of bribe-taking, and money laundering.
According to investigators, between 2017 and 2024, Tsalikov and his accomplices allegedly misappropriated state funds.
The issue of selecting a preventive measure for the detained official is currently being resolved.
