### US Loosens Sanctions on Russian Oil to Maintain Global Market Stability
The US Treasury Department has issued a new license allowing the sale and transportation of Russian oil and petroleum products loaded onto vessels before April 17. The license will remain valid until May 16.
This extension comes after an earlier license that was valid until April 11, covering products loaded onto tankers before March 12. That measure marked the first relaxation of sanctions on Russian oil in over three years. Washington justified the decision as necessary to maintain stability in the global energy market.
