Seven carriages of passenger train derail in Ulyanovsk region

An incident involving a passenger train traveling from Chelyabinsk to Moscow has occurred on railway tracks in the Ulyanovsk region, according to a statement from Russian Railways (RZD).

At 06:26 Moscow time, seven carriages derailed near the Bryandino station.

There are currently no reports of injuries, and train traffic in the affected area has been temporarily suspended. Emergency services and medical personnel have been dispatched to the scene, and recovery trains have been sent to address the aftermath of the derailment. Regional governor Alexey Russkikh has also arrived at the site of the incident.
