Russia to Introduce Unified Preferential Regime for Far East and Arctic

Russia will introduce a unified preferential regime for its Far East and Arctic regions starting January 1, 2027, President Vladimir Putin announced during the plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum.

"We are launching an unprecedented system of business support in terms of scale and scope. Starting from January 1 next year, a unified preferential regime will be implemented across the entire Far East and Arctic regions," Putin stated.

He also called for removing bureaucratic barriers for businesses in these regions, emphasizing that "it makes no sense to introduce tax benefits while simultaneously tightening the screws."
