Brent Crude Surges 13% Amid Escalation in Middle East

Brent crude oil prices surged sharply amid the conflict in the Middle East, according to data from the London-based ICE Futures exchange on March 2.

At 2:00 am Moscow time (MSK), the price of May-delivery Brent futures was up 13.04%, reaching $82.37 per barrel. This is the highest price since January 16, 2025.

Later, the price of Brent crude slowed its rise and was trading at $75.9 per barrel, up 6.92% by this hour.
