### Russian Tour Operators Face $1.5 Million Daily Loss Due to Stranded Tourists in Middle East
Russian tour operators are set to incur losses of no less than $1.5 million per day due to the forced extension of accommodation for tourists stranded in Middle Eastern countries, according to the Russian Tour Operators Union (RTOU).
In the event of an escalation in the conflict between the U.S., Israel, and Iran, Russian tour operators could face losses amounting to tens of millions of dollars.
RTOU estimates that there are currently 1,000 organized Russian tourists in Saudi Arabia, approximately 50,000 organized and up to 100,000 independent travelers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and up to 900 Russians in Oman.
- Earlier, it was reported that the authorities of Dubai Emirate [a part of the UAE] had **mandated** hotels to extend accommodations for tourists who were unable to depart due to flight cancellations and delays.
