Russia Registers 466,000 Private Houses in One Year

In 2025, Russians registered over 466,000 individual residential houses with Rosreestr, the state registry service, according to official data.

This figure is comparable to the previous year of 2024, when Russians registered around 463,000 private homes.

The total area of the registered properties reached 63.5 million square meters, which is 1.8 times higher than in 2020 (294,000 private homes with a total area of 36 million square meters).

The Central Federal District (CFR) led the individual residential construction sector, accounting for 29% of the total volume of individual residential housing built in 2025. More than 115,000 such properties with a total area of 18.3 million square meters were registered here.

Second place went to the Privolzhsky Federal District (PFR), where 91,100 individual homes with a total area of over 11.8 million square meters were registered (19% of the total individual residential housing stock built in the country).

Third place was taken by the Southern Federal District (SFR), with a share of 13% of the individual residential housing stock. Here, around 62,500 individual residential properties with a total area of over 8 million square meters were registered over the year.
