Russian Air Defense Systems Intercept 27 Drones Overnight in Various Regions

In the night of March 1, Russian air defense units thwarted an attempted attack by Ukrainian drones. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, 27 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were detected and destroyed in the airspace over several regions.

The largest number of drones were shot down over the Bryansk region (8 units). Another 7 UAVs were neutralized over the Belgorod region and the same number over the Kursk region. Two drones were intercepted over the Tula region, two over the Oryol region, and one over the Rostov region.

All targets were promptly detected and neutralized by air defense crews on duty. Information on possible ground-level consequences is being clarified.
