### Russian Poultry Exports to Africa Surge by 240% in 2025
Russia exported over 35,000 tons of poultry meat and by-products to African countries in 2025, valued at $51 million, according to preliminary data from Agroexport. This represents a significant increase compared to 2024, when exports amounted to 14,500 tons ($15 million), marking a 2.4-fold increase in volume and a 3.5-fold increase in value.
The leading importers of Russian poultry products in Africa were Benin, Congo, Ghana, Mozambique, and Guinea.
Experts attribute the growth in exports to expanded sales markets. In 2025, Sudan began purchasing poultry from Russia, while exports resumed to Sierra Leone, Djibouti, Tanzania, Gambia, Morocco, and Togo.
