Russian oil companies have been quickly bringing refineries back online and returning damaged equipment to service following attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF), according to Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, as reported by Izvestia.

Novak noted that damage to refineries has significantly decreased recently, thanks to enhanced passive defense measures and air defense systems. Despite this, the situation remains tense: four Russian refineries were targeted by drone attacks overnight, but the attacks were successfully repelled.

Novak emphasized that additional measures to support refineries are currently being developed, including a possible extension of modernization deadlines under agreements with the Ministry of Energy.
