US Tech Giants Sign Agreement on AI Control

Leaders of major U.S. tech companies have signed a "morally binding" agreement to establish protective mechanisms for artificial intelligence. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of U.S. President Donald Trump.

Signatories to the document, titled the "White House Agreement on Superintelligence," include Jensen Huang (Nvidia), Greg Brockman (OpenAI), Dario Amodei (Anthropic), Sundar Pichai (Google), Elon Musk (XAI), and Mark Zuckerberg (Meta Platforms Inc., which has been designated as a terrorist organization in Russia).

"They will regulate themselves," Trump explained (quote via AFP).

The agreement, though not legally binding, outlines joint commitments to ensure the safety of AI developments. The tech giants pledged to monitor model capabilities during training, safeguard their systems against unauthorized access, engage independent auditors, and establish committees within their boards to address any identified vulnerabilities.
