Moscow Pyrotechnic Company Director Detained Following Death of 14 People

The director of a fireworks factory in Kubrinsk, Yaroslavl region, has been detained in Moscow following an explosion that killed 14 people, according to TASS.

According to the source, the detained individual is expected to be transferred to Pereslavl-Zalessky, where investigators will conduct necessary procedures as part of the criminal investigation.

The explosion took place on the afternoon of September 28 in a workshop where firecrackers were being manufactured. At the time of the incident, there were 15 people inside the building. Fourteen of them died, while one sustained injuries.

Investigators have opened a criminal case and are looking into the circumstances and causes that led to the tragedy.
