Death Toll Rises to 13 in Fire at Pyrotechnic Plant in Yaroslavl Region

The death toll from a fire at a fireworks manufacturing facility in Yaroslavl region has risen to 13 people, according to TASS citing emergency services.
Preliminary information indicates that 15 people were present at the facility when the incident occurred, meaning 13 of them have died. Earlier reports had mentioned ten fatalities.
The fire broke out in the village of Kubrinsk, near Pereslavl-Zalessky. Flames spread to two buildings of the enterprise.
More than 100 specialists and around 40 units of equipment were deployed to mitigate the aftermath of the fire.
Investigative authorities have initiated a criminal case under Article 217 of the Russian Criminal Code, which pertains to violations of industrial safety requirements for hazardous production facilities.
