### Russian Air Defense Intercepts 96 Ukrainian Drones Overnight Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 96 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones during the night, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense. The air defense units detected and engaged the targets between 8:00 PM Moscow time on September 26 and 8:00 AM Moscow time on September 27. The drones were shot down over the territories of Belgorod, Bryansk, and Kursk regions, as well as over the Republic of Crimea (a region claimed by Russia but internationally recognized as part of Ukraine). Some additional targets were eliminated over the Black Sea. In total, Russian military reported intercepting and destroying 96 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) within a 12-hour period.
