Voting Begins Across Russia in Regional Elections

Russia has kicked off three-day voting for parliamentary and other regional elections, with polling stations opening across the country.

Polling will take place from September 18 to 20, with stations open from 8 am to 8 pm local time. In addition to electing members of the State Duma (the lower house of parliament) for its ninth convocation, voters will also choose regional and municipal representatives.

Over 100,000 polling stations have been set up nationwide, including 333 abroad. Furthermore, remote electronic voting is being organized in 33 Russian regions.
