Russian Government Approves Public Holidays and Weekends for 2027

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has signed a decree setting the calendar of public holidays and non-working days for 2027, according to the government press release.

The longest period of rest will be the New Year holidays, lasting 11 days from December 31, 2026, to January 10, 2027.

Additional extended weekends are scheduled throughout the year. In February, Russians will have a break from February 21 to 23, and in March from March 6 to 8.

May holidays will be divided into two periods. The first will run from May 1 to 3, and the second from May 8 to 10.

A three-day rest period is also planned for Russia Day, falling on June 12 to 14. The holiday for Unity Day will last four days, from November 4 to 7.

Additionally, December 31, 2027, will be a non-working holiday, allowing Russians to finish the working year with an extra day off.
