Budget Revenue from Migration Procedures Increases by 30% to 321 Billion Rubles

Russian President Vladimir Putin has highlighted a significant increase in budget revenues from migration procedures. Over the past one and a half years, the total revenue from this area has reached 321 billion rubles ($4.1 billion), growing by 30%.
Putin made the statement during a meeting with First Deputy Interior Minister and Head of the Main Directorate for Migration Issues of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Andrey Kikoty.
According to the Interior Ministry representative, the state has received 321 billion rubles as a result of migration processes over the last one and a half years. Of this amount, more than 60 billion rubles went to the federal budget, while over 250 billion rubles were allocated to regional budgets.
Putin noted the substantial volume of revenues, specifying that the majority of them are generated through payments related to obtaining work permits (patents) for foreign citizens.
"Quite substantial," Putin assessed the data presented by Kikoty.
