Regions Granted Deferment on Repayment of Budgetary Loans

The Russian Ministry of Finance plans to grant regional governments a repayment deferral on budgetary loans due in 2027-2029, according to the draft budget for the next three years.

Under the proposed legislation, the repayment deadline for these budgetary loans will be extended to 2030.

"This measure will allow regions to reallocate 300 billion rubles in budgetary resources to address priority tasks," the ministry stated.

• Earlier, the repayment of some budgetary loans scheduled for 2026 had already been deferred to 2030, providing regions with an additional 100 billion rubles.
