Utilities Tariffs to Rise by 8-22% Starting October 1

On October 1, Russia will see its second utility tariff adjustment of the year, with rates set to increase by 8-22% depending on the region.

The most significant increases are expected in Stavropol Krai (22%), Dagestan (19.7%), Tambov Oblast (17.5%), Tyumen Oblast (17.2%), and North Ossetia (16.3%).

In Moscow, the maximum allowable increase is set at 15%, in St. Pyotrsburg at 14.6%, in Moscow Oblast at 12.8%, and in Leningrad Oblast at 9.2%. These are the maximum permitted rates; regional authorities may set lower tariffs if they choose.

The smallest increases are set for Khakassia and Chukotka, both at 8%.

It is worth noting that the first utility tariff increase took place on January 1, with an average rise of 1.7% due to the VAT increase.
