Over 450 Drones Shot Down in Russian Regions Overnight

### Russian Air Defense Intercepts 453 Ukrainian Drones Overnight Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 453 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of airplane type during the night, according to the Ministry of Defense. The attack lasted from 8:00 PM on August 18 to 8:00 AM on August 19 Moscow time. The drones were shot down over the territories of Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Vladimir, Nizhny Novgorod, Vologda, Oryol, Tula, Lipetsk, Ryazan, Yaroslavl, Volgograd, Rostov, Saratov, Samara, and Ulyanovsk regions. Additionally, air defense systems eliminated aerial targets over the Moscow region, Krasnodar Territory, Republic of Crimea (annexed by Russia in 2014), Bashkortostan, and the Black Sea waters. According to the ministry, all detected aerial targets were successfully neutralized by air defense crews.
