### Hundreds of Drones Attack Moscow Region Overnight In the night between August 17 and 18, the Moscow region experienced a large-scale drone attack. According to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, a total of 620 drones were detected moving towards the capital from Monday evening until 5 a.m. Tuesday. Air defense forces were operating at high intensity: 180 drones were shot down or neutralized by electronic warfare systems within the Moscow region and on approach to the city. The remaining targets were reportedly neutralized at longer distances. Currently, cleanup efforts are underway on the ground. Emergency services (MChS) and law enforcement teams have been deployed in areas where drone debris fell. Specialists are inspecting the affected areas and verifying reports of possible infrastructure damage.
