Starting April 29, an updated traffic management scheme will be implemented on the approaches to the Crimean Bridge from the Krasnodar region side. The changes will affect a section of the federal highway A-290 ("Novorossiysk - Kerch") in the area of the "Taman-Volna" transport interchange.

The main goal of the new measures is to redistribute traffic flows based on the type of cargo being transported and to speed up inspection procedures.

Under the new system, vehicles will be directed along different routes:

  • Vehicles carrying oversized or non-standard cargo, as well as passenger buses, will be diverted from the highway to municipal roads in the Taman rural settlement. The exit is located at the 139th kilometer, where drivers will undergo automated inspections.
  • Cars with compactly packed luggage (up to 60x70 cm in size) will continue along the main highway A-290. For these vehicles, manual inspections will remain in place.

It is expected that the new traffic scheme will reduce the load on inspection points and decrease waiting times for drivers.
