### Russia to Establish 99 Modular Emergency Medical Units by 2030
Russia plans to deploy a network of 99 modular emergency medical units across the country by 2030, President Vladimir Putin announced during a review of the implementation of a federal project aimed at enhancing emergency medical services.
In addition to the 99 units, the Federal Medical and Biological Agency will establish and equip 16 more modular emergency units.
Work on the project is already underway, with 12 units already operational, and another 28 expected to be completed by the end of this year. Putin also praised the efforts of the specialists involved in the project.
The creation of these new units is part of a federal initiative to develop emergency medicine, which is part of the national program "Prolonged and Active Life."
Besides new construction, the project includes a comprehensive upgrade of existing infrastructure. Ten existing emergency units will be refitted with modern medical equipment.
Another key component of the project is the development of medical air transport. The plan envisions evacuating at least 18,500 patients annually who require urgent medical assistance.
The authorities expect that the implementation of the program will improve the accessibility and speed of emergency medical care nationwide.
