### Russian Internet Economy Expands by 28.1% in 2025 The Russian-language segment of the internet, known as Runet, reached an economic volume of 38.4 trillion rubles in 2025, an increase of 28.1% compared to 2024, according to data from the Association of Electronic Communications (RAEK), as reported by Interfax. In the preceding years, 2023 and 2024, the growth rate was even higher, at 40% annually. "Although the figures are impressive, the market dynamics are gradually changing. While in previous years the main driver was the rapid expansion of the audience and accelerated digital consumption, the market is now noticeably approaching saturation," noted RAEK. The largest segment remains e-commerce, with the B2C sector growing by 40% to 23.2 trillion rubles. The ICT industry increased by 12% to 13.6 trillion rubles, while the marketing and advertising segment saw a 27.6% increase, reaching 1.57 trillion rubles.
