The MICEX (Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange) index is a price indicator of the Russian stock market. It is calculated based on the free-float market capitalization of highly liquid shares of large and fast-growing Russian companies.
The composite price index of the Moscow Exchange is calculated based on the prices weighted by market capitalization with free-float of the most liquid Russian company stocks.
It is worth noting that the index composition and weight are reviewed quarterly.
