Cost of Minimum Food Basket Increases by 1.3% in February

In February 2026, the minimum monthly food basket per person in Russia cost 7,611.7 rubles ($95.14), an increase of 1.3% from the previous month, according to data from the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RuSPoSo), reported by TASS.

The most expensive food baskets were found in Chukotka (19,716.3 rubles, or $246.45) and Kamchatka (13,213.1 rubles, or $165.16). The cheapest baskets were in Mordovia (6,175.9 rubles, or $77.19) and Penza region (6,383.7 rubles, or $79.80). In Moscow, the minimum food basket cost 8,991.5 rubles ($112.39), while in St. Petersburg it was 8,760 rubles ($109.50).
