Precious metals futures rise 2-3%

Precious metals including platinum, palladium, gold and silver are seeing price increases during trading on March 20, according to data from the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) and the Commodity Exchange (COMEX).

The June futures contract for palladium was up 2.93%, reaching $1,498 per troy ounce, while the April futures contract for platinum rose 3.16% to $2,005.1 per troy ounce.

Similarly, the April futures contract for gold climbed 2.74% to $4,732 per troy ounce, and the May futures contract for silver advanced 3.21% to $73.5 per troy ounce.
