Amidst the latest escalation of tensions in the Middle East, travel industry experts are advising against hasty cancellations of tours. According to the Russian Tourism Industry Union (RST), such crises in the region are often short-lived and can be resolved within a few days.

Specialists note that if a trip is scheduled for dates after March 8-9, it would be prudent to wait and see how the situation develops before initiating a cancellation, reports "360" citing RST.

RST board member and CEO of Space Travel, Arthur Muradian, believes that tourists with imminent departures should consider rescheduling or changing their destination.

He explains that tour operators are prepared to offer alternative routes within their block booking programs, which helps minimize financial losses and maintain vacation parameters.

For trips planned from March 9 onwards, experts recommend waiting at least three days. By then, it will become clear whether the escalation is prolonged or if the situation returns to normal.

Industry insiders emphasize that premature cancellations may incur penalties, whereas waiting for the situation to stabilize could allow trips to proceed as originally planned.
