Russian and international airlines continue to adjust their flight schedules on Middle Eastern routes following the closure of airspace in several countries in the region. The work of carriers is coordinated by the Russian Ministry of Transport in conjunction with Rosaviatsiya.

As of the evening of March 1, 109 flights between Russia and Middle Eastern countries have been canceled. Russian carriers have removed 38 flights from their schedules, while foreign airlines have canceled 71. The majority of cancellations - about 86% - have affected routes between Russia and the United Arab Emirates.

Airlines are continuing to work with passengers, trying to minimize the impact of disruptions. Challenges persist due to the limited operation of some regional airports and a shortage of available hotel rooms.

According to information from carriers, passengers of canceled flights have been accommodated in hotels or are waiting for new departures at home. The situation at Russian airports remains stable, with no significant crowds of people. Customer support services continue to work individually with clients.

Russian airlines have already processed refunds for nearly 8,000 tickets. Another approximately 2,000 passengers have rescheduled their trips to later dates upon their own request. Carriers continue to process inquiries and update schedule information through official channels.

Recommendations (NOTAM) issued to Russian air carriers on February 28 remain in effect until 2:59 a.m. Moscow time on March 11. Airlines are advised to fly alternative routes through the airspace of third countries, strictly adhering to safety requirements and promptly following instructions from foreign aviation authorities.

Flights to Israel and Iran remain suspended until further notice.

Passengers outside Russia are advised to contact the emergency hotlines of Russian diplomatic missions if necessary.
