Starting in 2026, Russia will introduce a subsidy to compensate rare and rare-earth metals producers for the costs incurred by offering discounts to buyers, according to TASS citing a representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (Minpromtorg).

It was noted that the announcement of the discounts will be made at the end of the third quarter.

Earlier, Minpromtorg had announced that all systemic measures of state support would be used to develop the industry, including preferential loans, tax benefits, subsidies for R&D, as well as mechanisms to compensate for lost revenue associated with providing discounts to buyers when selling rare and rare-earth metals products.
