Russian Seniors Turning 88 Get Significant Boost in Pension Payments Starting January 1, 2026, the fixed payment component of the Russian state pension for those aged 80 and above has been increased by 7.6% (this indexation is part of the federal law on insurance pensions). The adjusted fixed payment amount is now 9,583.69 rubles, which will begin to be paid from February. Those turning 88 years old receive a special doubling of the fixed pension payment, bringing their total fixed payment to 19,169.38 rubles. Additionally, Russian seniors over 80 are entitled to a special care allowance, which has also been raised, now totaling 1,413.86 rubles per month. This additional payment is designed to support those who require assistance with daily living.
