State Duma Approves Bill to Increase Minimum Wage to 27,093 Rubles by 2026

The State Duma adopted in the third and final reading a bill setting the minimum wage (MROT) at 27,093 rubles from January 1, 2026. This document was presented by the Government of the Russian Federation as part of the budget package. It is expected that its implementation will increase the wages of approximately 4.6 million workers. The ratio of the new MROT to the median wage for the previous year will be 48%. According to Rosstat data, the median salary for 2024 is forecasted at 56,443 rubles.
