By 2045, five high-speed railways will be built in Russia, according to Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Vitaly Savelyev, who announced this during the "Transport Week" forum, as reported by TASS. According to Savelyev, in ten years, the total length of the high-speed railway network will reach 4,500 kilometers, and the number of trains will reach 300. By that time, in addition to the Moscow-St. Petersburg high-speed railway under construction, branches will be added from Moscow to Yekaterinburg (via Nizhny Novgorod and Kazan), Minsk, Adler, and Ryazan.
