Ex-Chairman of the Russian Youth Union Arrested in Embezzlement Case

The Tverskoy Court of Moscow has placed Pavel Krasnorutsky, the former chairman of the Russian Union of Youth, under arrest. He is suspected of embezzlement on an especially large scale, and a corresponding criminal case has been initiated, according to TASS citing law enforcement agencies. Details of the criminal case are not yet available. Pavel Krasnorutsky held the position of chairman of the Russian Union of Youth from 2012 to 2023. He left the post following a drunken disturbance he caused on a flight from Khanty-Mansiysk to Moscow.
