Alcohol sales in Russia have decreased. According to Rosalkogoltabakcontrol, retail sales of vodka fell by 3.7% over the first 10 months of this year compared to the same period in 2024, reaching 60.22 million dal.
The decline in sales is not limited to vodka. Brandy also saw a drop of 9.1%, reaching 10.3 million dal.
Overall, sales of alcoholic beverages decreased by 10.3%, reaching 165.24 million dal. Sales of alcohol with a strength above 9% fell by 1%, reaching 97.31 million dal. Low-alcohol products plummeted by 87.9%, reaching 1.38 million dal. Wine sales also decreased: grape wine dropped to 46.225 million dal, sparkling wine to 15.9 million dal.
The only segment that did not experience a decline in sales was liqueur and vodka products. From January to October, they showed a growth of 14%, reaching 15 million dal.
