Cargo Border Crossing Point Established at Mariupol Sea Port

By the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation, a checkpoint for crossing the state border has been organized in the Mariupol seaport. The relevant document signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin was published on the website of legal information.
The port will be equipped with a cargo permanent multilateral checkpoint for receiving seagoing vessels. The decision was made with the aim of developing port infrastructure to expand domestic and foreign trade.
Currently, the Mariupol port is the largest and deepest seaport in the Azov region, with a quay length of 3.9 km and 12 cargo berths. In the future, after dredging works are carried out, the port will be able to receive bulk carriers, general cargo ships, and container ships with a capacity of up to 25 thousand tons.
