The main period of the Unified State Exam (USE) will start universally on June 1 from 2026 onwards. This decision was officially announced by the head of Rosobrnadzor, Anzor Muzayev, during the annual All-Russian Parent Meeting.

The new regulation is being introduced to separate in time two major events in the lives of graduates: the "Last Bell" celebration and the start of the exam campaign.

As Muzayev explained, years of practice have shown that starting the USE at the end of May creates organizational challenges for thousands of schools across the country. Preparing for both events leads to additional strain on educational institutions, while graduates have less time to prepare for exams.

Shifting the USE dates will give schools a clear and predictable schedule, allowing them to conduct festive events and organize exams without unnecessary haste. Graduates will have additional days to prepare for exams, during which they will not be distracted by school celebrations.

Muzayev assured that the change in dates will not affect the admission campaign schedule for universities.

This year, exams will start on June 1 and end on July 5. Reserve days for retaking one subject are scheduled for July 6 and 7.

Processing of results will also fit within the established time frame. As in the previous year, the final data will be uploaded to the "University Admission Online" service around July 19, leaving enough time until the first admission orders are published on July 25.
