Deputies of the State Duma from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, led by party leader Gennady Zyuganov, have prepared a draft law that proposes setting the base salary for medical workers at no less than three times the minimum wage (MROT) applicable in the corresponding region.

The amendments are planned to be introduced into Article 350 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, which concerns specific regulations for the employment of medical workers. The explanatory note to the draft law states that the new provision is aimed at ensuring a fair level of remuneration for medical professionals.

Zyuganov emphasized that this initiative is intended to restore social justice and enhance the prestige of the medical profession. He added that in the context of the special military operation and the increased burden on the healthcare system, it is crucial to guarantee medical workers a decent salary in order to retain the workforce and maintain stability in the sector.
