On November 12, following the first state visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Russia, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed a declaration on the transition of interstate relations to the level of comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance. The signing of the document was announced earlier, and now the Kremlin has officially reported on it.
Russia and Kazakhstan have moved to closer cooperation in all areas and mutual trust. Among these areas are politics and security, economic cooperation and integration, development of knowledge-intensive industries, as well as in the humanitarian field.
