The Federation Council has approved amendments to the legislation aimed at stimulating investment attraction for financing restoration work on cultural heritage sites.
According to the press service of the Federation Council, the bill was developed by a group of senators following parliamentary hearings held back in December 2024.
The law, among other things, envisages the creation of a unified specialized platform for cultural heritage sites (OKN), which will systematically monitor the condition of monuments across the country. The platform will be based on the Unified Information System for Housing Construction. Through this resource, it will be possible to obtain data on the exact location of objects in need of restoration and their investment potential. This will increase awareness among potential investors, the public, and government bodies, explained Lilia Gumerova, Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Science, Education, and Culture, during the meeting.
