Law Adopted Allowing Dismissal of Migrants Based on Regional Regulations

The State Duma has adopted a law under which restrictions on employment activities introduced by regions for migrants will become a legal basis for their dismissal.

As explained in the press service of the State Duma, prior to the adoption of the law, the Labor Code allowed employers to terminate employment relationships with foreign employees in order to bring their number in line with federal laws, presidential decrees, or government resolutions. Now, the list of regulatory legal acts will also include orders of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
