6 billion rubles to be allocated for waste processing infrastructure development in four regions

The Russian government will allocate additional funds to several regions for the creation of infrastructure for processing solid municipal waste, according to a press release from the cabinet. More than 6 billion rubles will be allocated for this purpose. The funds will be distributed among four regions that submitted relevant applications: Mari El, Mordovia, Dagestan, and Kurgan Oblast. With the help of state support, 6 projects for the construction and reconstruction of enterprises for processing, sorting, neutralization, and disposal of solid municipal waste will be implemented in these territories.
