Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree introducing personnel changes in the leadership of law enforcement agencies. As a result of these reshuffles, the composition of the Ministry of Defense and the Security Council Secretariat has changed.
The key change is the appointment of General-Colonel Andrey Bulyga as Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation. The corresponding decree was published on the official legal information website. The same document also relieved him of his duties as Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation.
The vacated position in the military department was filled by the Commander of the Southern Military District, General-Colonel Alexander Sanchik. A decree was also issued for him, simultaneously relieving him of command of the Southern Military District.
Andrey Bulyga, who oversaw the material and technical support (MTO) of the Russian Armed Forces in the Ministry of Defense, has extensive experience in this field. Prior to his appointment to the central office, he dealt with issues in the Western Military District as Deputy Commander.
Alexander Sanchik, one of the most experienced military commanders, will now be responsible for logistics and rear support of the army at the federal level.
