Sea and river transportation will be additionally financed for more than 9 billion rubles

Additional financing has been allocated for the construction of vessels to increase sea and river transportation and the development of Arctic routes. We are talking about over 9 billion rubles of state budget funds, according to the Russian Government.

The funds will also be used to continue the construction of a marine ferry for regular passenger traffic in the Far East, as well as for the construction of ice-class maintenance and rescue vessels. They are necessary, in particular, for the organization of transportation along the Northern Sea Route. Finally, the construction of a marine diving vessel, which will be operated in Crimea, will be completed with additional funds from the state budget.

According to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, the main purpose of the additional financing is to increase the pace of work so that shipping companies can put modern, high-quality equipment into operation faster.
