The former WorldSkills management is suspected of fraud on a particularly large scale

The former heads of WorldSkills Russia, Robert Urazov and Dinara Mukhametzyanova, are accused of embezzlement of funds allocated as a grant. A criminal case has been opened against them under the article "Fraud on an especially large scale". This was reported by TASS with reference to law enforcement agencies.

According to law enforcement officials, in 2022, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation concluded an agreement with WorldSkills Russia (in Russia - "Young Professionals"), an international non-profit movement promoting the prestige of working professions. The organization received 1.75 billion rubles as a grant.

Urazov and Mukhametzyanova are charged with two counts of fraud. According to one of them, the defendants stole 38 million rubles, which were issued as bonuses to employees. According to the second one, more than 130 million rubles were allocated as part of the national project "Demography".
