The Government of the Russian Federation is closely monitoring the situation on the domestic market of petroleum products and is taking all necessary measures to stabilize it. This was stated by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak in an interview with Rossiya-1 TV channel.

According to Novak, the Russian domestic market is provided with the necessary amount of petroleum products.

- We are in the headquarters mode, the Ministry of Energy, federal executive authorities, together with companies, provide additional production of petroleum products. Today, demand is declining, but there is a balance of supply and demand," he said.

Novak stressed that fuel prices in Russia are rising commensurate with inflation.
