A new batch of Su-35S fighter jets has been delivered to the Russian Aerospace Forces. The new aircraft were transferred to the Ministry of Defense as part of the state defense order.
"In accordance with the target tasks set by the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation for the supply of particularly in-demand samples of weapons and equipment to the troops, crews of the Aerospace Forces have accepted Su-35S aircraft," according to a post in the Telegram channel of the United Aircraft Corporation.
The source noted that the Su-35S fighters have already passed ground and flight factory tests.
The fighters are designed to gain positions in the airspace under any weather conditions at a considerable distance from the home airbase.
"The Su-35S is currently the most effective modern fighter jet in the world. These aircraft have numerous enemy air targets destroyed to their credit. The aircraft is equipped with advanced equipment and long-range strike means. The Su-35S can effectively gain air superiority, destroy ground and surface targets day and night in simple and complex weather conditions," noted Rostec.
