The Ministry of Finance is preparing measures to support the ferrous metallurgy industry

The deadlines for payment of the excise tax on liquid steel and the mining tax on iron ore are planned to be postponed to December 1, 2025. Such a proposal is contained in the draft resolution of the Ministry of Finance, prepared in order to support the industry.

- The need for such support was identified during the analysis of the financial condition of enterprises and the current law enforcement practice. The implementation of the solution will allow metallurgical enterprises to free up working capital to overcome the consequences of the situation in their business and stabilize financial performance," the ministry said in a statement.

If accepted, the document will enter into force on the day of its official publication.
