Wages in the manufacturing industry increased by 15.8%

In the manufacturing industry, salaries increased by 15.8% year-on-year in the first half of 2025. This was stated by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova during a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Golikova stressed that the dynamics of wages was influenced by the involvement of workers in the manufacturing sector. She recalled that Russia currently has a record low unemployment rate of 2.1%.

- In the context of the growing trends in demand for labor that we see, it is necessary to clearly understand the future need of employers for specialists in order to reflect it precisely in the admission control figures for both higher education and secondary specialized educational institutions, she said.
