The ex-head of the Tambov region, Egorov, was detained on suspicion of receiving a large bribe.

Security forces detained the former head of the Tambov region Maxim Egorov. He is charged with receiving a particularly large bribe. This was reported by TASS with reference to law enforcement agencies.

A corresponding criminal case has been initiated. Searches are being conducted at several addresses in Moscow and Tambov. Investigative actions are being carried out with Egorov.
